Strong Passwords = Stronger Protection
Welcome back to another beginner friendly guide from cybersafesteps.
We mostly listen everywhere that the password must be hard and strong. How can we achieve this ? And why we should care ? A hard / strong password is our first line of defense against (un-ethical) hackers. Imagine someone easily guessing your password and accessing your phone or laptop or email accounts or personal information, photos, bank accounts e.t.c. We regularly see passwords like admin, admin123, cityname, cityname123 e.t.c., right ? Always practice to avoid common mistakes like using your name, birthdate, cityname, phone number or other simple words. Instead, create a unique, hard and strong password with a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Example: “C@B3rS#f3SteP$259”. Never use same one passwords across different sites. Imagine, if you used same password for multiple accounts, then if one gets hacked, other will be hacked too.
Make a habit of changing password regularly (define certain time interval week/month).
We can dig more onto this, but for now this much. Stay tuned for next part. One step at a time.
